About Nourish 80

Nourish 80 grew out of Pamoja Art Festival.

For the past three years, Pamoja has brought us together with the children at Heritage through art, creativity, and shared experiences. When summer came to an end, we began to realize that this connection should not be ended when the festival ends.

​

Perhaps it was seeing how joyful the children were when they received a few candies. Perhaps it was realizing that life is not always easy for them, yet they still choose to meet it with a smile. Those small moments sparked our desire to care for Heritage in a more consistent and tangible pathway.

Zooming into daily lives at Heritage, we realized that children did not have enough protein in their daily diets. This fundamental demand drew us to raise money to provide 80 kilograms of beef—sufficient for at least four meals for all kids at Heritage within a month. 

​

Nourish 80 is not separated from Pamoja. It is the next step in the same relationship. Art brought us together; Nourish 80 promotes care to contiune, month by month.
